Jaguar E “Las mil y una curvas de la seducción”

 

Few cars have so clearly brought together two concepts that are so a priori opposed as elegance and sportiness. Sixty years ago, the Jaguar E-type captivated and shocked from the very first moment and today it is considered one of the 100 most beautiful cars of all time. The Fundación Jorge Jove has this example that will occupy a place in the future automotive museum of Galicia.

This Ferrari 308 GTS, born in 1975, knew how to balance dynamism and design in a formula that made people fall in love with it from the very first day and became one of the most desired Ferraris. The Spider or GTS version, like the one presented by the Fundación Jorge Jove, is the most famous thanks, in part, to its participation in one of the most popular series of the 80s, “Magnum P.I.”.

Fiat Topolino 1936 “El ratoncito italiano”

Introduced to the world in 1936, the Fiat 500 introduced a diminutive and economical vehicle concept that enabled mobility for a large part of the population. Its success was based on maximum reliability with the minimum number of parts possible. The first model, which we present here and which belongs to the Fundación Jorge Jove, set a world record for fuel consumption with only 7.5 litres per 100 km.

Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda “La discreción de la elegancia”

 

This luxurious and powerful convertible is, for many, a masterpiece of design, its clean, balanced lines lending it a unique elegance. It was also a pioneer in passive safety, with the first non-deformable passenger compartment as standard. Today this Mercedes SL Pagoda, which belongs to the Fundación Jorge Jove, is already an icon of luxury and sportiness.

Believe it or not, the Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet Mk-1 has just celebrated 40 years since it left the factory of the German coachbuilder Karmann and already has a place as a classic. Envied and coveted in equal parts, it represented an icon of freedom and exclusivity that was perfectly suited to a young audience.
