At the end of the 1960s, a sports car appeared on the scene, born out of an agreement between Porsche and Volkswagen. It was designed to appeal to the younger generation, but without overshadowing its big brother, the 911. This small sports car, however, did not meet with the expected success. Its design and the union of brands confused a public that did not quite understand this philosophy.
